This site is more than just a collection of stats, schedules, and information. It is our guide to who we are, what we believe, and how we play as Marion Wolves. Throughout this site you'll find our Vision, Mission, Values, and Standards. These are the foundation of our Program and everything we do.

Vision

Where are we going?

We aim to become
College-Level Hoopers
and
World-Class Humans.

03 / 07 · Wolves Way

Mission

How do we get there?

We
Listen well,
Work hard,
and Grow continually.

Values

BE READY. BE RELIABLE. BE A GREAT TEAMMATE.

  1. 01 / 05

    Trust

We trust each other to do our jobs. Coaches trust players. Players trust teammates. Families trust the process. Trust gets earned through showing up and following through.

  2. 02 / 05

    Prepare

We prepare like the next play matters more than the last one. Film, lifts, reps, rest, scouting. Preparation turns pressure into routine.

  3. 03 / 05

    Communicate

We talk on defense. We talk in huddles. We talk to teammates who need it and to coaches who ask for it. Silence loses games.

  4. 04 / 05

    Contribute

Every player has a role. Every role matters. The starter who scores twenty and the player who brings the energy off the bench are doing the same job, which is helping the team win.

  5. 05 / 05

    Unite

We are one team. The player who spends the night in the gym and the player still learning the offense both wear the same jersey. We rise together or not at all.

Process

Discipline is doing what you're supposed to do, when you're supposed to do it, the way it's supposed to be done.

  1. Step 1

    Get It

    Learn what we are doing.

    →
  2. Step 2

    Do It

Work to be able to execute it with a great attitude.

    →
  3. Step 3

    Grow It

    Make mistakes, learn, keep improving.

    →
  4. Step 4

    Repeat It

Every rep. Every practice. Every day.

Standards

These are the standards we hold ourselves to. This is how we all act.

These are not rules. They are the high-quality behaviors we all own.

  1. 01

    School First. Always.

We handle our schoolwork, grades, and responsibilities like pros, because we're student-athletes, in that order.

  2. 02

    Know Who We Are.

We know our Vision, Mission, Values, Process, and Standards, and we rep them in how we act, talk, and train.

  3. 03

    Trust Our Process.

We believe in the work. We believe in each other. We believe growth comes from doing the right things the right way every day.

  4. 04

    Respect is Non-Negotiable.

We show respect to everyone: teammates, coaches, refs, bus drivers, scorekeepers, crowds, opponents, and our school. Always.

  5. 05

    Respond with Character.

We don't talk back. We don't taunt. We don't complain. We rise above and let our integrity do the talking.

  6. 06

    Lift the Pack.

We never tear a teammate down, especially when they mess up. We lift each other up, no matter what.

  7. 07

    Be Present and Ready.

We follow our pre-practice routine like pros. We show up on time, prepared, and locked in, because the way we practice is the way we'll play.

  8. 08

    Respect the Whistle.

When the whistle blows: Balls stop. Voices stop. Focus starts. We respond with “Yes, Coach” every time.

  9. 09

    Listen First. Ask Respectfully.

Wait. Listen. Then ask. That's how we grow. If you've got a question, raise your hand.

  10. 10

    Partner Like Pros.

When we team up, we do it with intention: same standards, same skill, same height. No shortcuts. No slacking. No surprises.

  11. 11

    Practice to Get Uncomfortable.

We push ourselves to fail, on purpose. Because that's how we grow.

  12. 12

    Connect Practice to Performance.

We know the effort we give in drills shows up in games. So we don't just go through the motions. We compete with purpose.

The Pack

No one walks alone.

Every Wolf, whether starter, bench, sidelined, or pipeline, wears the same colors. Every Wolf belongs. And every one of them is surrounded by adults who show up before tip and stay after the buzzer.

Every Wolf has a place

  • Active Players

On the floor when the buzzer sounds. Carry the moment. Set the tone for everyone wearing the jersey.

  • Bench Players

Ready every play. The hardest job in basketball: stay loose, stay loud, stay locked in, knowing your minute could be the next one.

  • Sidelined Players

Healing, scouting, studying film. Out of the rotation, never out of the pack. We're not the same team without you on the bench.

  • Pipeline Players

The next class up. Watching, training, becoming. The Wolves you'll cheer for next year are already in the gym.

THE PEOPLE WHO SHOW UP FOR THE PLAYERS

  • Coaches

Train. Hold accountable. Believe in you out loud, every day.

  • Parents & Guardians

The first and forever team. Rides, meals, late nights, every game in the stands.

  • Managers

Water, film, scoreboard, laundry. The work nobody sees that makes the work everybody sees possible.

  • Administrators

Open the gym. Run the clock. Schedule the buses. Keep the program standing.

  • Trainers

Tape the ankle. Check the knee. Get you back. Keep you healthy enough to chase the next one.

  • Caring Adults

Teachers, bus drivers, friends of the program. The people who show up to the home opener and the road game on the bad weather night. The Pack is bigger than the bench.

WHEN YOU WEAR THE COLORS, YOU WALK WITH A PACK.
